For the past few days we have been learning about P and A short for (Perimeter and Area) During these lessons I've come to understand how they work I know that you need to know your times tables, cm's or m's and also remembering that if i'm using area that no matter if I'm using cm's or m's or whatever that I need to remember to put 2 at the end of them for example: cm2 but in perimeter I need to plus the four number for example: if I had a rectangle with 2 cm long and 5 cm wide so i'd go like this 5 + 2 + 5 + 2 = 14cm and in area i would times it like this 5 x 2 = 10cm2 and that's what i've been doing so far and here's another example if you still don't get it.

Probability - word art
Hi today we have been doing word art related to word art and my word art looks like this
we had to write down as much probability as we could, if you don't know what probability is it is well let me show you
here's a scale 0-----0/5-----1 so the zero is impossible and 1 is certain and the 0/5 is equal so technically in between those is the words that are used in my word art for example: If i had a bag of lollies and the colours are 2 greens, 1 blue, 4 purples and 1 yellow and if i grab one what's the chance of me getting a yellow well that's 1/8 because you just count all the lollies together then count the possible answer like, if i had 1 yellow then i would put on the numerator 1 and the denominator is 8 so that would be 1/8.
Here's some for you...
I have a bag of marbles their colours are 1 white, 1 green and 4 blues, what is the probability of getting a
1. green?
2. blue?
3. red? (if you don't know this one move on)
what is the probability of NOT getting a

Probability
In maths I have been learning about probability, here is an example...
we had to order them on a line from Impossible to Certain, in maths equal is 50%, 1/2 or 0.5, Impossible is 0% or 0 and lastly Certain is 100%, 1
and i know that you can use it either percentage, fraction or decimal it was fun experiencing this.

Maths: Decimals
For a few weeks we have been learning about decimal points and as the days came past we started to learn more and more about how to use decimals, we had tricky questions that we needed to answer but together we made it through the tough decimals. To be honest i found it not so easy but then again not hard as well, so I was just a 0.2 towards hard haha.

Highest and lowest
Today and tomorrow we are learning to make the highest number and the lowest number using 1,2,3,4,5,6 but we have to use 4 digits to make the highest and the lowest and the operations signs we used were +, -, ×,÷ Also here is the problem.
For example:
Jackie´s Te nui rawa - Te iti rawa
Te nui rawa.
6×5×4×3=360
Te iti rawa.
4-3-2-6=-7
4-3=1-2=-1-6=-7

Problem solving
I am learning to problem solve in maths, the topic is In the money.
I can use talk moves like can you explain this in another way and others , use a systematic table and explaining about my work that I have done.
I need to work on using my space on my book more wisely.
My next step is to share all my ideas with my group and writing my math expression.
The easy part was writing all the things my group and I discovered about the problem.
The hard part was getting the right answer and crack the code but I got there.
I could improve by making sense in my work.
Here is my proof.

problem solving
This week my class tried to crack this code of tea cups and sauces for problem solving here is a photo.
It was really difficult but some of us managed to crack it well the rest were still stuck.
The easy part was exploring different ways with my group.
The hard part was to actually crack the code.
I could improve by working with all my team mates.

Intergers
This week my teacher was teaching the whole class what integers are. Here is a photo of us problem solving.
I learnt that there's more then 0 like for example +5,+4,+3,+2,+1,+0,-1,-2,-3,-4,-5. Also I learnt that hills are the + numbers and the dales are the - numbers.

Intergers
This week my class and I have been learning about integers I think it's easy to do because doing - numbers like (-2+3=1 or -3+2=-1). The hard part was nothing really it was fun and easy. Integers are negative and positive numbers. Here is my proof.

This week for Maths we did problem solving and communicating with our groups. The easy part was going through the checklist. The hard part was figuring out how to solve the equation. I could improve by working harder in my maths.
