Another career

Today Andrew came to talk about her career, her career was about midwifes. She told us that on her first delivery of birth (like help provide someones baby) that she was only 19-years-old and that she lived in Canada when it happend so in Canada they only have supporters so they can only support them. I really enjoyed that because it was awesome.

  2. Kia Ora Jackie,

It's really cool to read that you had a guest speaker at your school who is a midwife. A few of my friends in Canada work as nurses in maternity units in hospitals and do exactly the same thing that midwives do here in New Zealand. I was actually born and raised in Canada so it's really cool to read about Canada in your post.

If you'd like to learn more about your home country of New Zealand, please feel free to join our Summer Learning Journey blogging programme. It's completely free to join and really fun! We're having a great time blogging with each other over the holiday.

To join, you simply hop onto the Summer Learning Journey website (www.summerlearningjourney.co.nz) and go to the Weekly Activities tab. You will find four week's worth of activities there for you to choose from. You can pick any of the activities and complete them at any time and in any order that you wish.

Georgia, Dani or I will read your posts and provide comments. We will also give you points and come back to Kawakawa Primary in February to bring certificates and prizes for the top 3 bloggers from the school.

Hope to see you online again soon!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
